Access solutions company ASSA ABLOY announced today the launch of a new sustainability program, with 2025 targets encompassing Environmental criteria consider how a company performs as a steward of nature. The company announced the new initiatives with the release of its Sustainability Report 2020, highlighting the completion of its 2015-2020 sustainability program.
In its own operations, ASSA ABLOY’s new 2025 sustainability targets (targets are on a 2019 base) include 25% reductions in carbon footprint, energy intensity and hazardous waste intensity, as well as a 50% reduction in organic solvents intensity. In addition, the company is targeting to have 100% of sites ISO 14001 certified.
Supply management goals include having 95% of spend in identified risk countries from sustainability audited suppliers, and 95% of direct and indirect material spend covered by the company’s Business Partner Code of Conduct.
ASSA ABLOY is also targeting reductions of 33% in injury rate and injury lost day rate, and has set a gender diversity goal to have 30% female representation in management positions.
In addition to its 2025 targets, ASSA ABLOY has longer term sustainability goals in place, including commitments to halve emissions by 2030 and reach net-zero by 2050.
