Amsterdam-based sustainability-focused digital education platform Earth Academy announced the appointment of two senior sustainability executives, Maryam Telmesani and Pietro Bertazzi, to its Advisory Board.
As members of the board, Telmesani and Bertazzi will advise the academy’s management on the strategic partnership, content, and market insights.
Telmesani is the Chief Sustainability Officer of Saudi Arabian business conglomerate Al-Dabbagh Group (ADG), responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and innovative solutions of sustainability across all of ADG’s business units.
Telmesani said:
“Sustainability and education are hand in hand tools for a better life and a better future; the first is a framework of achieving a sustainable success without negative impacts while the latter is a long-life investment in the most valuable asset (people).”
Bertazzi is Global Director of Policy Engagement at global environmentalEnvironmental criteria consider how a company performs as a steward of nature. More disclosure system provider CDP, boosting ambition and accelerating action on climate, water, and forests. He has also served as a member of the expert network for the United Nations Global Compact, and worked for more than 8 years at sustainability standards organization Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), including serving as Head of Sustainable Development.
