Global asset manager Natixis Investment Managers (Natixis IM) announced today the appointment of Nathalie Wallace as Global Head of Sustainable Investing. In her new role, Wallace will have responsibility for the firm’s ESG commitments across its distribution network, its affiliate managers, and through its participation in industry-wide initiatives.

With Natixis IM aiming to have roughly half of its AUM (currently over €1.1 trillion) invested in the sustainable or impact investing categories by 2024, Wallace will be instrumental in strengthening the firm’s ESG capabilities and developing its range of innovative sustainable solutions.

Additionally, Wallace will support clients on their own ESG investing journeys, from ESG integration to impact investing, and will ensure that Natixis IM’s affiliate managers all become signatories to the UNPRI.

Prior to joining Natixis IM, Wallace served as Head of ESG Strategy and Development at Natixis’ sustainable investing-focused subsidiary Mirova US, where she developed partnerships to foster innovative ESG and climate-related research and investments, led the firm’s voting and engagement efforts, and its diversity and inclusion advocacy initiatives. She has also served as global head of ESG investment strategy at State Street Global Advisors and a Director at sustainability-focused non-profit Ceres.

Tim Ryan, CEO of Natixis Investment Managers, said:

“Having most recently worked at Mirova, our dedicated sustainable investment affiliate, Nathalie, with her deep knowledge and long industry experience, is ideally placed to lead our strategy to support clients in their journey to align their ESG beliefs with their investment goals, and to help us further our contribution to the transition to a more sustainable global economy.”
