Carbon footprint management and reporting platform provider Persefoni announced today the appointment of Mike Wallace as SVP of Strategic Market Engagement.

In his new role Wallace will oversee the identification and support of new business partners in implementing Persefoni’s climate platform, while also partnering with key stakeholders to expand the adoption carbon accounting tools and techniques to help Persefoni’s partners stay on track with ESG reporting and regulatory needs.

Launched in 2020, Persefoni’s SaaS platform enables enterprises and institutional investors to measure, analyze, plan, forecast, and report on their carbon footprint, leveraging AI to provide users with contextual sustainability performance scores for their organization and allowing them to manage their carbon transactions and inventory with the same rigor as their financial ones.

Wallace joins Persefoni with almost 30 years of experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, and managing social and human capital, most recently serving as a Partner at pure-play sustainability advisory firm ERM, with responsibilities for counseling clients on corporate responsibility and sustainability solutions. Prior to joining ERM, Wallace served as a Director for the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), working on initiatives including the International Integrated Reporting Council (IRRC), the European Commission proposal on corporate ESG reporting, and the UN Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative’s (SSEi) on ESG listing guidance.
