Employee experience solutions provider WeSpire announced today the launch of its Employee Carbon Management Solution, aimed at enabling companies to measure, reduce, balance, and report on employee carbon emissions.
Developed in conjunction with Cox Enterprises and South Pole, the solution aims to allow companies to access information on one of the primary sources of their Scope 3 emissions, quickly, accurately and on-demand, solving one of key challenges for companies as they increasingly develop Scope 3 net zero targets while moving to hybrid and remote work environments.
Susan Hunt Stevens, Founder & CEO, WeSpire, said:
“We’ve pioneered a data-first, behavior-change solution to drive much needed personal climate action in the workplace. Our technology enables organizations to engage their employees to better understand their own impact, take targeted carbon reduction actions, and, when needed, the company or employees can balance what remains. This holistic solution will inspire further innovation as employees see their collective impact on their company’s Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments. More goals and will significantly simplify employee-related Scope 3 emissions reporting.”
According to WeSpire, the solution will enable companies to engage their employees to make carbon emission reductions over time through actions, with prescribed steps for employees to take, that have an impact on their own carbon footprints, activating Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments. More strategies across the workforce. WeSpire partnered with climate solutions provider and project developer South Pole to embed high quality offset opportunities for employees and employers to use as rewards.
George Favaloro, South Pole’s Head of Climate Solutions, North America, said:
“Stakeholders and employees increasingly demand organizations make commitments to drive climate action and offset their carbon footprints. But this can be challenging. WeSpire’s solution with South Pole’s embedded offsetting capability makes it simple for organizations to take meaningful climate action while engaging and empowering their employees.”
The solution is currently being tested with general availability prior to Earth Day in April 2022.
