Globant Aims to Help Clients Avoid 10 Million Tons of CO2
Digital-focused professional services and IT solutions company Globant announced today a series of new goals for its global ESGEnvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments. More strategy, including an initiative to help clients avoid millions of tons of emissions through “digital sobriety.”
Launched in 2020, Globant’s Be Kind global ESGEnvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments. More strategy unites programs for all of its main stakeholders and consolidates initiatives to tackle issues such as diversity, equity and inclusion, climate change, and ethics in AI. The initiative’s four key pillars include “Be Kind to Yourself” “Be Kind to your Peers”, Be Kind to the Planet” and “Be Kind to Humanity.”

Some of the key goals under the Be Kind initiative include reaching 50% women and non-binary people in management positions by 2025, tackling the mis-use of technology through a $10 million fund investing in startups addressing these issues, achieving carbon neutrality through SBTi-aligned reduction trajectories, and promoting wellness at work.
Today’s announcements add extensions to several of these commitments, with new targets to provide 15,000 people with coding scholarships by 2025, having 100% of its employees benefit from an extended wellness plan and expanding its wellness program towards physical and emotional health with mindfulness sessions, and saving 10 million tons of CO2 by 2030 by supporting its clients with “Digital Sobriety” techniques.
