Technology and business solutions provider NTT announced today the launch of its IoT Services for Sustainability offering, aimed at helping businesses accelerate progress towards global sustainability initiatives and make data-driven decisions to reduce their carbon footprints.

Devin Yaung, SVP of Group Enterprise IoT Products and Services, said:

NTT’s new solutions include OCR Meter Reading, an optical-based meter reader which provides near real-time data from any type of meter including water, electricity and gas, along with Water Leak Management, a technology that provides real-time IoT-enabled protection against water damage for smart spaces projects.

The offerings also feature the Predictive Maintenance solution, which collects data from sensors to create models that predict when events of interest might occur, including potential accidents, and Environmental Monitoring, which uses sensors to identify the presence of pollutants in the air and water, as well as tracking temperature and humidity.

According to NTT, the solutions incorporate an Information Technology/Operational Technology (IT/OT) integration and end-to-end support, helping companies see the benefits of the technology across the entire business following deployment, with benefits including energy cost savings, faster reduction in emissions, accelerated operational performance and better work enablement.

Yaung, added:
