Zurich-based asset management firm Vontobel announced today the appointment of Jean-Louis Nakamura as Head of its Sustainable Equities Boutique.
Nakamura joins Vontobel after 14 years at Swiss private bank Lombard Odier, where he most recently served as Chief investment officer for Asia Pacific and CEO of Lombard Odier Hong Kong. Before joining Lombard Odier, he was CEO and CIO of the Civil Service Pension Fund and the French Pension Reserve Fund.

In his new role, Nakamura will lead the boutique’s team of 35 investment professionals across Zurich, Milan and Hong Kong. The CHF 15 billion (US$15 billion) boutique offers solutions in sustainable emerging market equities, Swiss equities, and impact and thematic investing.
Nakamura takes over the role from Hans Speich, who is retiring after 16 years at Vontobel.
