Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) has appointed Citywire’s Head of ESG Nisha Long as head of sustainability research, according to a report from Citywire, and confirmed by a spokesperson at Credit Suisse.

According to the spokesperson, Long will lead CSAM’s new Sustainability Research team, dedicated to security-, thematic-, and sector-level sustainability research, and focused on supporting the ESG integration process at CSAM. The appointment forms part of a broader build-out, and aims to enhance CSAM’s commitment to net zero, in line with its position as a signatory of Net Zero Asset Managers initiative (NZAMi), the spokesperson said.

Long joins CSAM after more than 16 years at financial publishing and information group Citywire, where she most recently served as Head of ESG and Cross-border Investment Research.

She will start her new role at Credit Suisse in January 2023, and report to CSAM’s Global Head of Sustainable Investing, Jeroen Boes.
