Food and beverage giant PepsiCo announced today the appointment of Archana Jagannathan as Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) Europe, responsible for overseeing and accelerating sustainability goals across PepsiCo Europe, as well as for bringing an integrated approach to sustainability planning and execution.

Jagannathan joined PepsiCo in 2018, and has most recently been serving as Head of Sustainability for PepsiCo UK&I and as leading on Climate, Energy and Water across Europe. She takes over the position from Katharina Stenholm, who was appointed Chief Sustainability Officer of dsm-firmenich earlier this week.

Jagannathan said:

“PepsiCo has long had a strong vision and commitment to its sustainability agenda and pep+ provides the entire organization with a clear roadmap to sustainably grow and bring value to the planet and people.

“We’re taking significant action to deliver on that vision and I look forward to continuing my work embedding pep+ into our decision making and wider business strategy.”

Jagannathan will report to PepsiCo Europe CEO, Silviu Popovici, and PepsiCo global Chief Sustainability Officer, Jim Andrew.
