UBS announced the appointment of Beatriz Martin Jimenez as its new Group Executive Board (GEB) Lead for Sustainability and Impact, taking the role over from Suni Harford, following her decision to retire from the bank.
Martin Jimenez joined UBS in 2012, and has held a series of senior business and finance roles at the bank, including Investment Bank Chief of Staff and COO, Group Treasurer, and Group Head Transformation, and most recently serving as Head Non-Core and Legacy and President EMEA and UK Chief Executive, which she will continue in addition to her new role.
Harford joined the firm from Citi in 2017, and has been serving as President Asset Management since 2019, and as GEB Lead for Sustainability and Impact since 2021, responsible for driving the firm’s sustainability agenda and efforts to deliver on its Net Zero commitments.
