Carbon accounting software provider Normative announced that it has launched a new suite of features on its enterprise carbon platform, aimed at enabling businesses to set and plan emissions reduction strategies, and to integrate supplier emissions data and forecasts into supply chain decarbonization plans.
According to Normative, the new features aim to address the need for companies to meet new regulatory sustainability reporting and compliance obligations, such as the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and other environmentalEnvironmental criteria consider how a company performs as a steward of nature. More legislation, which, in addition to mandating emissions reporting across the value chain, also require companies to disclose Paris agreement-aligned emissions reduction plans.
New features on the platform announced by Normative include “Reduction Scenarios,” enabling users to examine their carbon footprint and experiment with changes such as business activities, material consumption or other emissions sources to identify the amount of carbon to be reduced to stay on track to reach net zero goals; “Impact Explorer,” a tool allowing users to see the impact of changes in areas such as materials and business activities on their carbon footprint, and; “Supplier Forecast,” enabling data collected from suppliers through the platform to be integrated into calculations and to integrate supplier targets into reduction scenarios.
