Global consultancy Bain & Company announced the appointment of Jean-Charles van den Branden as its new Global Sustainability Practice Leader. According to the firm, in his new role, van den Branden will focus on ensuring that sustainability remains atop the global business agenda, and responsible for accelerating the integration of emerging technology and AI into Bain’s sustainability offerings.
Van den Branden has been with Bain for over 25 years, most recently serving as the firm’s EMEA Sustainability Practice Leader. He has focused on advising leading Consumer Products companies, including food & beverage businesses, in addition to working on sustainability strategies for Advanced Manufacturing & Services and Energy & Natural Resources clients, as well as on private equity climate investments.
Van den Branden will replace François Faelli, who was appointed as Bain’s first Global Managing Partner of ESG in 2022, and will now become Global Head of Capabilities at the firm.
