AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of insurance group AXA, announced the appointment of Katherine Gerber as its Head of Energy Transition in the Americas.

In her new role, aimed at helping help clients to navigate the energy transition and achieve their sustainability goals while managing potential risks, Gerber will direct energy underwriting strategies and the development of products and services to support AXA XL clients’ energy transition plans.

Before joining AXA XL, Gerber spent seven years at Liberty Mutual Insurance, most recently serving as the Global Strategy and Performance Lead for Energy Transition Risk, after holding a series of roles focused on strategy and underwriting operations.
