
The Footprint Firm announced the final closing of its €76 million venture fund, FootPrint Fund 1, which will invest in pre-seed and seed climate deep-tech and scale-up companies throughout Northern Europe.
Founded in 2019, Footprint is a Denmark-based advisory and impact investment company focused on sustainability and the green transition. According to Footprint, the close of its debut fund marks an important milestone in the firm’s work in sustainability across venture investments and advising companies to scale, expand and navigate regulatory requirements, the company said.
To date, the Article 9-classified fund has invested in 20 Northern European startups to date, across sectors including energy, bio-solutions, AI & climate tech, circular manufacturing, the built environment, carbon removal and food systems.
In a post announcing the close, Footprint said:
“We know that the need for deep knowledge and expertise within the increasingly complex area of sustainability is necessary to help companies scale, commercialise faster and navigate in regulatory environments.”
