Climate research provider and environmental disclosure platform CDP announced the launch of a new AI-powered “Suggested Response” feature designed to help simplify disclosure preparation for organizations, while enabling faster and higher quality reporting.
According to CDP, market testing of the new service demonstrated reduced disclosure preparation time by an average of 40%, increased response and completion rates by 25% and a 60% improvement in response depth and coverage.
CDP runs a global environmental disclosure system, enabling investors and other stakeholders to measure and track organization’s performance in key environmental sustainability areas including climate, forests, water security, biodiversity, plastics and oceans. In 2025, more than 22,000 companies disclosed data through CDP.
According to CDP, the new feature, powered by technology developed in collaboration with sustainability AI specialist Briink, will help organizations in preparing responses to the CDP questionnaire by analyzing information already contained within existing documents such as annual reports, sustainability reports, and other relevant materials. The service will identify and extract the relevant information using AI, in addition to mapping it to the appropriate CDP questions, and generating suggested responses directly within the CDP platform.
CDP said that the new feature represents the first phase of a longer-term program, with the organization planning to introduce additional capabilities over time to support preparation, data quality and the effective use of environmental information for decision-making.
