Global shareholder services advisory firm Sodali announced today the appointment of Andrew Benett as its new CEO.
Bennet joins Sodali from global professional services firm PwC, where he served as a Partner for the firm’s Corporate Strategy and Sustainability Strategy Consulting businesses, including as Lead US Partner for all Sustainability Consulting GTM activities across the firm. His prior senior management roles have included serving as Executive Chairman and CEO of omnichannel customer experience company Harte Hanks, Chief Commercial Officer at Bloomberg Media Group, and as Global CEO and Global Chief Strategy Officer at Havas Creative Group.
The appointment follows the acquisition in 2022 by TPG’s middle market and growth equity platform TPG Growth of a majority stake in Sodali, and its recent rebranding from its former name, Morrow Sodali.
Sodali Chair of the Board and TPG Partner, Scott Gilbertson, said:
“The evolution of this business has redefined who we are and the opportunities ahead. The Board recognized the need for a transformational leader – someone with the skills and experience to lead what has become a truly differentiated firm with so much to offer its clients around the globe. We are proud to have found such an outstanding candidate, and are excited about the future of Sodali & Co.”
Benett takes on the CEO role following the decision of former Sodali CEO and founder Alvise Recchi to step down in September 2024.
Benett said:
“I am honored to join Sodali & Co. The successes of the firm are impressive, and it is top of the league tables in almost every area it competes in. The potency of having these three practice areas – Shareholder Services, Strategic Communications, GovernanceGovernance deals with a company’s leadership, executive pay, audits, internal controls, and shareholder rights. & Sustainability – is objectively different from what’s in the market today. I look forward to working with such a talented global team to demonstrate the power of Sodali & Co to our valued clients.”
