Energy management solutions provider Arcadia announced the acquisition of power company Engie’s Utility Expense and Data Management, Energy Procurement, and Sustainability Advising arm, Engie Impact.

Launched in 2014, Washington D.C.-based Arcadia provides energy data and management solutions, enabling companies to pay utility bills, buy energy, and advance sustainability. The company’s provides enterprise solutions including utility bill management, energy procurement advisory and sustainability reporting, and a data analytics platform encompassing utility bill and interval data, a tariff and energy rate calculator, and solar and storage analysis.

Engie Impact provides solutions and services aimed at enabling businesses to simplify multi-site and energy-intensive resource management across energy, water, waste, telecom, and carbon to reduce costs, build resilience and accelerate sustainability. The company’s services span utility, telecom and waste expense management, renewable energy strategy, energy supply management, carbon management, total waste management, and sustainable waste advising. Engie Impact also offers “Ellipse,” a data tool to accelerate decarbonization, enabling users to measure and report carbon footprint, design carbon reduction roadmaps, track progress and optimize performance.

According to Arcadia, the acquisition is aimed at creating a leading enterprise energy intelligence platform, enabling enterprises to manage the full lifecycle of utility data, from bill payment to strategic energy procurement. The combined company will serve more than 1,500 customers, including 25% of the Fortune 500, managing nearly $100 billion in utility spend and 580 MWh of annual electricity usage, the company said.
