Professional services company Cognizant announced today a series of new climate goals, including targets to reach net zero emissions by 2030, and to reduce emissions across its operations and supply chain by 90% by 2040.
To reach its targets, the company outlined several initiatives, including the development of a science-based emissions reduction target and submitting it for third-party validation with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), expanding its use of onsite solar energy, entering new power purchase agreements with clean energy developers, and investing in new energy-efficient equipment and technologies across its offices and data centers.
