Global money management firm Putnam Investments announced today the appointment of Jacquelyn (Jackie) VanderBrug to the newly created position of Head of Sustainability Strategy.

In her new role, VanderBrug will lead several of Putnam’s key ESG-focused business functions, including Stewardship, Engagement, and Partnerships, and ESG Strategy and Integration. She will report to Putnam President and CEO Robert L. Reynolds, and will also join the firm’s Operating Committee.

VanerBrug joins the firm from Bank of America, where she served as Head of Sustainable and Impact Investment Strategy for the Chief Investment Office, responsible for driving consideration of sustainability throughout the investment process for Bank of America Private Bank and Merrill, encompassing thought leadership, strategy development, client experience and portfolio construction. Prior to joining Bank of America, she served as Managing Director at Criterion Ventures, working with high-net-worth individuals and non-profits on impact strategies and leading the development of the field of Gender Lens Investing.
