Global investment manager Franklin Templeton announced today the appointment of Jean-Marc Pont to the newly created role of Head of Sustainable and Institutional Product, EMEA.
In his new role, Pont will be responsible for leading the firm’s product efforts on sustainability, including ESGEnvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments. fund labelling, as well as Franklin Templeton’s broader sustainable product strategy. Additionally, Pont will support the firm’s efforts in the institutional product space to bring strategic and targeted solutions to market.
Pont joins the firm after more than seven years at Generali Investments, most recently serving as Senior Investment Specialist, responsible for leading product strategy and design for SRI, thematic equity and multi-asset strategies. Before joining Generali, Pont held roles including Head of Product Strategy – Index & Multi-Asset for LGIM, and Head of Product Engineering for HSBC Global Asset Management.
