Global integrated risk assessment firm Moody’s announced today the appointment of Francisco Martinez-Garcia as Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer.
Moody’s stated that in his new role, Martinez-Garcia will focus on positioning the company “as an inclusive workplace that attracts, grows, and retains diverse talent.”

Martinez-Garcia’s team will focus on driving a data-driven approach to diverse representation, expanding boundaries to reflect the many geographies and stakeholders the company serves. In addition, he will also partner with the company’s Business Resource Groups (BRGs) to deepen engagement, promote visibility, and nurture collaboration.
Martinez-Garcia joined Moody’s in 2019, and most recently served as the Global Talent Partner for Moody’s Investors Service, Moody’s ESGEnvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments.
