Logistics giant Deutsche Post DHL announced today that its DHL eCommerce Solutions division has made its Expedited Max U.S. domestic product 100% carbon neutral. Expedited Max is DHL eCommerce Solutions’ 2-3 day definite delivery service.

According to the company, the new achievement marks part of the company’s newly announced Sustainability Roadmap. DHL launched the new strategy in March, representing a significant ramp in the company’s decarbonisation and environmental sustainability commitments, linking executive compensation to performance on ESG efforts, and committing to billions in CO2 reduction investments in areas including alternative aviation fuels, the expansion of the zero-emission e-vehicle fleet and climate-neutral buildings.

Under the new program, all Expedited Max emissions will be offset and included as a standard product feature, and domestic parcel tracking will also include a new carbon-neutral GoGreen program message and logo.

DHL also announced that all U.S. flats and parcel outbound product customers will have access to a personalized Carbon Emissions Report on the Customer Web Portal, providing visibility into the carbon emissions generated by their shipments on a weekly and monthly basis, including gross, offset and net emissions.

Dmitry Antonov, VP of Product Management for DHL eCommerce Solutions, Americas, said:

“Our U.S. domestic customers can have visibility of their carbon footprint and know they are making a positive impact on the environment when using our Expedited Max product. By offsetting our carbon footprint and setting the highest environmental standard, we are contributing to DPDHL Group’s overall environmental targets.”
