ESG data software company Diginex Solutions announced the launch of DiginexESG, aimed at helping companies of all sizes and reporting experience make their ESG reporting faster, easier and more affordable.

As ESG-focused investing and sustainable finance gain traction, corporate reporting on sustainability initiatives, is often cited as a weak link, presenting investors with inconsistent, unreliable or incomplete information as a key obstacle to ESG integration. With sustainability reporting becoming a key focus area for investors and regulators, companies are facing increasing pressures to report on multiple ESG aspects and impacts of their businesses, presenting challenges – particularly for smaller businesses – ranging from data collection and verification to presentation.

According to Diginex, DiginexESG was designed as an accessible and affordable digital platform that lowers the barrier to entry to ESG reporting, facilitating the entire reporting process and enabling reports to be generated faster and more affordably. The company stated that it is the first-ever ESG blockchain-enabled reporting tool to provide a single resource for an organisation to record, report and verify its data with full transparency and security.

Mark Blick, CEO at Diginex Solutions said:

“The current landscape of ESG reporting is challenging for many organisations – particularly SMEs – requiring huge consultancy fees, time and resources that distracts from day-to-day activity. The DiginexESG platform quite simply takes away those challenges and does all the heavy lifting for them. It’s like Docusign, Dropbox, TurboTax or Slack hardcoded for ESG reporting!”

Diginex also announced that DiginexESG has become the first blockchain-enabled product certified by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), one of the leading organizations promoting standardized ESG reporting.

Mirjam Groten, Chief Business Development Officer, GRI, said:

“We welcome that DiginexESG has achieved GRI software and tools certification, meaning they are authorized to use GRI Standards content in their software solution in order to help companies easily develop robust and transparent ESG reporting according to GRI’s best practice guidelines. We also celebrate the efforts of Diginex Solutions in their mission to provide support and technology solutions to companies that are new to sustainability reporting.”
