Moderna outlined some of its key environmentalEnvironmental criteria consider how a company performs as a steward of nature. More sustainability initiatives, including the establishment of baseline metrics for energy, waste, and water to inform the creation and implementation of an ESGEnvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments. More program, targeting LEED Platinum Core & Shell and LEED Zero Energy certifications for its new Moderna Science Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and committing to the direct use of renewable energy in U.S. facilities beginning in 2021.
Moderna also stated that it will work with each of its suppliers to ensure that they also move to net-zero carbon.
