Logistics-focused real estate company Prologis announced today the appointment of Susan Uthayakumar to the newly created role of Chief Sustainability and Energy Officer.
In her new position, Uthayakumar will be responsible for leading the company’s customer-focused sustainability and energy solutions business. Together with her team, she will evaluate and scale existing and emerging solutions across the Prologis Platform, and she will also partner with Prologis’ environmentalEnvironmental criteria consider how a company performs as a steward of nature. More stewardship, socialSocial criteria examine how it manages relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and the communities where it operates. More responsibility, and governanceGovernance deals with a company’s leadership, executive pay, audits, internal controls, and shareholder rights. More team on strategy, progress, stakeholder engagement, and related initiatives.

Uthayakumar joins Prologis after working for 18 years at Schneider Electric, where she most recently served as President of the Global Sustainability Business Division, which delivers deliver end-to-end solutions to customers based on science-based targets for greenhouse gas emission reduction. She also served as CEO of Schneider Canada from 2018 to 2020.
