UK-based active asset manager Jupiter Asset Management announced today the appointment of Sandra Carlisle to the newly created position of Head of Sustainability. In her new role, Carlisle will be responsible for leading Jupiter’s new Corporate Sustainability function, and structuring and implementing its sustainability strategy across the organization.
Carlisle joins the company from HSBC Asset Management, where she most recently served as Global ESGEnvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments. More lead for the institutional business, covering client and business strategy across insurance, sovereign wealth, and pension funds. Jupiter’s new Corporate Sustainability team will implement and drive the firm’s sustainability strategy across the corporate and investment footprint, partnering with all business areas to further integrate sustainability, drive engagement with clients, collaborate with external bodies, support best practice outcomes at an industry level, and develop additional targets and reporting to support Jupiter’s strategy.
