Climate management and accounting platform (CMAP) provider Persefoni announced the appointment of former SEC Commissioner and Acting Chair Allison Herren Lee to its Sustainability Advisory Board (SAB).
Launched in 2020, Persefoni’s SaaS platform enables companies and institutional investors to measure, analyze, plan, forecast, and report on their carbon footprint.
In her new role, Herren Lee will advise Persefoni’s board and executive team on climate disclosure standards and likely regulatory shifts, as well as on the integration of sustainability reporting into corporate and investment management.

Herren Lee served in a variety of roles at the SEC from 2005 – 2018, before rejoining in 2019 as a Commissioner, and serving as Acting Chair in 2021. While in that role, she initiated a review of the commission’s guidance for public company obligations for disclosures related to climate change risk, prior to the SEC’s release the following year of its proposed climate disclosure rules.
