Consultancy, engineering, and advisory firm, AESG today announced that it has launched a new headquarters for its Australasian markets in Sydney, Australia, and appointed Devan Valenti as Director of Sustainability for Australia.  

The company said the new office will focus on developing its Environment and Sustainability and Specialist Engineering offerings, especially service lines including Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD), Facade Engineering, Fire and Life Safety, ESG Advisory, Carbon and Net Zero Consultancy, Green Building Certifications, Low Carbon Engineering, Ecological Surveys, and Environmental & Social Impact Assessment.

Devan Valenti, the new Director of Sustainability, brings over a decade of expertise in sustainability across three continents. AESG said Valenti has been pivotal in the development of the Green Star Buildings Rating used by Australian property developers, and co-authored Green is Not a Colour, a book that explores global environmental challenges. Prior to joining AESG, Valenti served as Senior Manager and ESG Lead for Asia Pacific at the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI).

In a LinkedIn post, Valenti said:

The company also named Brent Ridgard as Director of Environment to lead the Environmental Division in the Middle East. He has more than two decades experience in environmental consulting and previously served as National Director of Environmental Assessment & Planning at WSP in Australia.
