Global leadership advisory and talent solutions provider Heidrick & Struggles announced today a series of senior hires aimed at expanding its climate and sustainability practice, which helps companies find executives and hire personnel to support their climate and sustainability efforts.
The new Europe-based hires include Uroš Zver, Rafe Jackson, and William Gibbs as Partners at the firm. Each of the new partners join the firm from venture and growth-focused executive search firm True Search.

Zver is a former Managing Director of Energy Transition, Industrial and Climate Tech at True Search. Previously, he was a partner at Apollo Executive Search. His role at Heidrick & Struggles will be to advise investors, boards, and leadership teams on C-level and board director appointments at all stages, from venture capital and growth to corporate transformation. He will also collaborate with climate tech innovators, corporates driving decarbonization, and businesses advancing global resilience in tech sovereignty, sustainable food chains, and defense.
Jackson was Managing Director and Head of True Search’s Climate Tech Practice EMEA and APAC. At Heidrick & Struggles, he will specialize in placing chief executives, board directors, investment professionals, sustainability leaders, and C-level executives within companies focused on solving critical global challenges. Jackson will develop client relationships across a broad range of companies and funds operating in the energy transition and decarbonization sectors, including venture- and growth-backed scale-ups and multinationals.
Gibbs was a Principal – Climate Tech at True Search. Previously he had been a Managing Consultant, EMEA Energy, at consulting firm Korn Ferry. His expertise spans energy storage and batteries, energy and grid management, CCUS, hydrogen, renewables, sustainable fuels, sustainable materials, and circularity. Gibbs’ functional focus at Heidrick and Struggles will range from board mandates to commercial, operational, financial, and technology-specific roles.
All three, Heidrick & Struggles said, “will play a pivotal role in advancing our Global Technology and Climate & Sustainability Practices, supporting high-growth climate tech ventures as well as established companies in their decarbonization efforts.”
Also joining the firm is Edmund Thomson Jones, whose background in venture and growth equity will “help accelerate the growth of our Venture Capital Practice,” the firm said.
