Global climate consultancy the Carbon Trust announced the appointment of Wei Mei Hum as its new Head of Asia, with responsibility for leading the firm’s Singapore, and expanding its impact across key markets in the region, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Launched in 2001, the Carbon Trust offers services and expertise aimed at helping clients across a range of sectors to achieve their climate ambitions, including the development, delivery, communication and reporting of climate action plans. The firm includes more than 400 experts across offices in London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Singapore, Johannesburg and Mexico City. Service areas include Net Zero transition planning and delivery, carbon footprint labelling, and independent assurance services.

Hum joins the Carbon Trust after more than 5 years at voluntary carbon market exchange AirCarbon Exchange (ACX), most recently serving as Head of Asia Pacific, and as Global Head Carbon & Environmental Products, responsible for ACX’s portfolio of Carbon & Environmental Products.

According to the Carbon Trust, in her new role, Hum will focus on strengthening partnerships, developing tailored decarbonization solutions, and supporting organizations across the region in delivering credible emissions reductions, in addition to developing tailored climate solutions that address the unique challenges and opportunities facing Asian organizations.
