Sustainability software provider Persefoni announced the launch of Persefoni Analytics Agent, a new agentic feature on its platform aimed at enabling companies to accelerate the analysis and understanding of their emissions data.
Founded in 2020, Persefoni offers software and AI-driven tools aimed at enabling companies and financial institutions to manage their carbon footprint and sustainability reporting, with capabilities including streamlined carbon footprint calculation, decarbonization strategy development, and audit-ready disclosures for global standards.
The company said that the new agentic AI will enable users of its platform to interact directly with their emissions data using plain language prompts, allowing companies to more easily explore their emissions footprint, generate tailored charts and tables, and pull in additional ledger attributes to support more specific analysis.
Key features highlighted by the company include natural language questions or prompts against emissions data, on-demand generation of visual outputs and structured views including charts and structured analytical tables, and the ability to ask the agent to sort, reformat, compare, visualize, or explain results through follow-up prompts.
According to Persefoni, the new feature is aimed at addressing the growing need by companies to quickly understand what’s driving changes in their footprint, compare performance across business units and over time, and to respond to stakeholder questions.
Kim Stroh, Persefoni CTO & Co-founder, said:
“As agentic AI rapidly transforms the world of work, its introduction into carbon accounting represents a critical shift. By enabling faster, deeper analysis of emissions data, our new agent will help surface insights that may not have been visible before – and encourage teams to ask more meaningful questions.”
