Eaton Appoints Harold Jones as Chief Sustainability Officer

Power management company Eaton announced today the appointment of Harold V. Jones as its first Chief Sustainability Officer and Executive Vice President, Eaton Business System (EBS).

Jones has led Eaton’s ESG initiatives since 2011 when he joined the company as Senior Vice President. In 2018, he became the Executive Vice President, Eaton Business System & Sustainability, responsible for leading the Eaton Business System, which enables the company to operate its businesses in a common way, and for leading the company’s corporate sustainability activities, Continuous Improvement, Quality, Global Security, and EHS functions.

Under his leadership, the company announced its 2030 Sustainability Targets last year, including the goal to become carbon neutral by 2030, it the company also published its first-ever Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures report(TCFD), and joined the global movement to limit the increase of the world’s temperature to 1.5°C by committing to science-based targets.

Jones will report to Craig Arnold, Eaton Chairman and CEO. Arnold, said:
