Alternative credit manager Oak Hill Advisors announced today the appointment of Jeffrey Cohen to the newly created role of head of ESG and Sustainability.

Cohen joins Oak Hill from ESG disclosure standards developer the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board Foundation (SASB), which recently merged with the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) to form the Value Reporting Foundation, and is currently being integrated into the IFRS Foundation. Cohen joined SASB in 2018, and most recently served as Director of Capital Markets Integration – Head of Private Investments, with responsibility for advising alternatives investors on the development and integration of ESG factors into various phases of the investment process.

In his new role, Cohen will join Oak Hill’s ESG Committee, working with the firm’s investment team and with portfolio companies to develop sustainability metrics and ESG-related investment solutions. Cohen will also join the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Council, helping to strengthen Oak Hill’s programs aimed at supporting a diverse, respectful, and inclusive environment for employees.

Bill Bohnsack, Oak Hill President and Senior Partner, said:

“We are thrilled to have Jeff join us as head of ESG and Sustainability at OHA, and we look forward applying his deep experience in delivering value to our investors. ESG and sustainability are fundamental to our firm’s philosophy, and he will be instrumental in contributing to the continued growth of these efforts.”
