Credit Suisse Asset Management announced today the appointment of Christine Chow as Head of Active Ownership. Chow joins the firm after serving as Head of Stewardship at HSBC Asset Management.
In her new role, Chow will focus on accelerating Credit Suisse Asset Management’s efforts in the area of voting and engagement. She will report to Jeroen Bos, Global Head of Sustainable Investing, and work alongside the Head of ESGEnvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments. Integration, Dominik Scheck, and the Head of Sustainability Research, Nisha Long, who recently joined the firm to head its new sustainability research team.
In a statement announcing the appointment, Credit Suisse said:

Chow joined HSBC in 2021, and has implemented a comprehensive stewardship program at the firm, and helped build a stewardship team in key global locations. Prior to joining HSBC, she held senior ESGEnvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments. and asset management roles at firms including IHS Markit, where she served as Executive Director – Global Head of Strategic GovernanceGovernance deals with a company’s leadership, executive pay, audits, internal controls, and shareholder rights. and ESGEnvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments.
