Sustainability-focused energy and automation digital solutions provider Schneider Electric announced today the acquisition of electric vehicle (EV) charging solution provider EV Connect.
Founded in 2010, EV Connect offers an open charging platform that simplifies the set-up, management, and optimization of charging stations with customer service from installation to driver support. The company assesses and recommends the best solution for its customers’ sites, facilitates the installation of charging stations, and offers management services to ensure customers’ networks have optimal performance and a positive experience for their drivers.
Nadege Petit, Chief Innovation Officer at Schneider Electric, said:
“At Schneider Electric, we believe that electric and digital are the recipe for a more sustainable and more resilient world. EV Connect has a very similar vision. We look forward to working together to accelerate the EV revolution.”
According to EV Connect, the acquisition will enable the company to accelerate its growth, support its customers and empower energy companies by enhancing EV charging infrastructure. Jordan Ramer, CEO, and Founder of the company, along with its current management team, will continue to lead EV Connect’s operations as a distinct subsidiary.
“We are thrilled to partner with Schneider Electric. They not only support our strategic goals, but fully embrace the value of electricity as a transportation fuel managed by a robust and feature-rich networked EV charging platform. With Schneider we are positioned to strengthen our presence in the EV market, and we look forward to the journey as we open a new chapter for EV Connect.”
