Impact-focused investment firm LeapFrog Investments announced today two new appointments, including Julie Wallace as Head of Impact, formerly Global Head of Sustainability at Standard Chartered, and TIAA’s former President and CEO Roger Ferguson as a Member of the firm’s Global Leadership Council.

In her new role, Wallace will be responsible for supporting investment teams in driving impact across their deal processes, and Ferguson will provide strategic guidance, insight, and connection to the company’s Founder and CEO Dr. Andy Kuper. Both Ferguson and Wallace will also help the company to advance the frontiers of impact investing.

Previously, Wallace spent 14 years at Standard Chartered Bank, most recently serving as Global Head, Sustainability & Community Engagement. At the Bank, she supported the integration of ESG factors and sustainability and oversaw the development of impact frameworks, measuring and reporting on the group’s contribution to sustainable economic growth and inclusion. Prior to this, she held roles within the Canadian Government, Corporate Councill on Africa, and African Development Bank.

Ferguson previously served as President and CEO of leading financial services provider TIAA. He was also Head of Financial Services and a Member of the Executive Committee of Swiss Re and was previously the first African American to be Vice Chair of the US Federal Reserve. Currently, he serves on the boards of Alphabet, the parent company of Google, and the cancer research and treatment institute Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
