Churchill Asset Management announced the appointment of Mickey Weatherston as Principal, Head of Sustainability and ESG Integration.

Churchill is an affiliate of Nuveen, providing first lien, unitranche, second lien and mezzanine debt, in addition to equity co-investments and private equity fund commitments, with over $37 billion of committed capital.

In his new role, Weatherston will provide strategic direction for ESG integration across Churchill’s Senior Lending, Junior Capital & Private Equity Solutions strategies, and will work with Nuveen’s Responsible Investing Team to coordinate efforts across the broader organization. He will also promote ESG best practices, drive ESG reporting efforts and help to ensure a fully supported ESG system and infrastructure to meet clients’ needs.

Most recently, Weatherston served at investment firm Muzinich & Co as Director of Marketing & Client Services, where he was responsible for leading ESG integration across public and private debt products as well as investor relations and marketing. He has also held other positions at AQR Capital Management, UBS Securities and Goldman Sachs.
